-

Amy Logan works with teens and adults, with a particular focus on women, trauma survivors, people recovering from difficult or abusive relationships, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Clients often come to Living Well Counseling for support with trauma and PTSD, narcissistic abuse, childhood sexual or physical abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, identity, and major life transitions.
Therapy is individualized rather than based on a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.
-
Yes. Amy specializes in supporting people who have experienced narcissistic and relational abuse, including harmful dynamics within romantic relationships and families.
Narcissistic abuse can leave you questioning your memories, perceptions, boundaries, and even your sense of who you are. Therapy can help you understand these patterns, process what happened, rebuild trust in yourself, establish healthier boundaries, and reconnect with your own voice.
You do not need a formal diagnosis for the other person- or even certainty about whether the word narcissist applies- to seek support for a relationship that has harmed you.
-
Yes. Living Well Counseling provides trauma-informed therapy for survivors of childhood sexual abuse, physical abuse, and other adverse childhood experiences.
Trauma can continue affecting relationships, boundaries, self-worth, emotional regulation, safety, and the nervous system long after the original experience has ended.
Amy takes a paced, collaborative approach to trauma therapy. You will not be expected to immediately disclose every detail of your experiences or relive your trauma before you feel ready.
-
Yes. Amy has advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a trauma-focused therapy approach designed to help people process distressing experiences and memories.
Rather than relying exclusively on talking through an experience, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation while working with memories, emotions, beliefs, and physical sensations associated with distressing experiences.
Amy may integrate EMDR into therapy when it is appropriate for your needs, goals, readiness, and preferences.
-
Brainspotting is a mind-body therapy approach that uses specific points within a person's visual field while processing emotional or traumatic experiences.
It is based on the idea that where you look can influence what you access emotionally and physiologically. Brainspotting may be incorporated into therapy for trauma, emotional distress, difficult memories, and experiences that feel challenging to resolve through conversation alone.
Amy integrates Brainspotting within a broader individualized, trauma-informed approach rather than assuming one technique will work for every client.
-
Induced After Death Communication (IADC) is an EMDR-based therapeutic approach developed specifically in connection with grief and traumatic loss.
For some clients, grief includes unresolved emotions, traumatic memories, guilt, anger, or a persistent sense of unfinished business surrounding the death of someone important.
Amy has training in IADC and may incorporate this approach when appropriate as part of grief and trauma therapy.
-
Yes. Working with women navigating relationships, relational trauma, and narcissistic abuse is an important part of Amy's practice.
Therapy may explore patterns involving manipulation, emotional abuse, boundaries, attachment, separation or divorce, family relationships, self-doubt, people-pleasing, identity, and rebuilding confidence after a difficult relationship.
The goal is not for your therapist to tell you whether you should stay, leave, forgive, reconcile, or make a particular decision. Therapy creates space to understand what you're experiencing so you can make choices that feel grounded in your own values and reality.
-
