Trauma Therapy in Illinois
Trauma doesn't always stay neatly in the past.
It can show up in relationships, anxiety, self-doubt, hypervigilance, emotional overwhelm, difficulty trusting yourself, or a sense that your body is constantly preparing for something to go wrong.
Amy takes an integrative, trauma-informed approach to therapy and may incorporate modalities including EMDR, Brainspotting, somatic and mind-body approaches, mindfulness, ACT, CBT, attachment-based therapy, and person-centered therapy depending on your needs.
For clients navigating grief and traumatic loss, Amy is also trained in Induced After Death Communication (IADC), an EMDR-based approach.
The goal isn't to force you through painful experiences.
It's to create enough safety and support for healing to happen at a pace that feels manageable.
Online Therapy for Narcissistic Abuse in Illinois
One of Amy's primary areas of specialization is supporting women affected by narcissistic and emotionally abusive relationships.
These dynamics can happen with a spouse or partner, parent, family member, coworker, or another significant person in your life.
You may find yourself wondering:
Am I overreacting?
Why do I keep questioning things I know happened?
Should I stay or should I leave?
Why is setting a boundary so difficult?
How did I become so disconnected from myself?
Therapy isn't about someone else making those decisions for you.
It's about creating enough space to recognize patterns clearly, reconnect with your own perspective, and begin trusting yourself again.
The Convenience of Virtual Therapy Across Illinois

Meet Amy Logan, MA, NCC, LCPC
Amy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor providing online therapy throughout Illinois.
She earned her Master's in Counseling from Northwestern University and has been practicing for eight years. Her approach is humanistic, trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that therapy should recognize you as an entire person — not simply a diagnosis or collection of symptoms.
Amy has pursued advanced training in trauma-focused approaches including EMDR, Brainspotting, IADC, and treatment for narcissistic abuse.
Most importantly, therapy with Amy is built around the relationship.
Some sessions may involve processing experiences you've carried for years.
Others may involve talking about something that happened Tuesday.
You set the pace. Amy will meet you there.
